Ingredients

Madras curry powder

turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chili powder
Salt to taste
1 cup water
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
Heat oil in a large pot and sauté the onions until golden brown.
Add the tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.
Add the curry powder, turmeric, cumin, coriander, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the chicken.
Pour in the water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30-40 minutes until the chicken is tender and the gravy is thick.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
