Ingredients
  

  • - 500g chicken cut into pieces
  • - 1 large onion finely chopped
  • - 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 green chilies slit
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker or pan. Add chopped onions and green chilies, sauté until onions turn golden brown.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
  • Add chicken pieces and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add coconut milk and yogurt. Close the lid and pressure cook for 2 whistles or simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Once the pressure releases, open the lid and sprinkle garam masala. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
