- - 500g chicken cut into pieces
- - 1 large onion finely chopped
- - 2 tomatoes chopped
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 green chilies slit
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
Heat oil in a pressure cooker or pan. Add chopped onions and green chilies, sauté until onions turn golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
Add chicken pieces and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.
Add coconut milk and yogurt. Close the lid and pressure cook for 2 whistles or simmer for 20 minutes.
Once the pressure releases, open the lid and sprinkle garam masala. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
